About Us
KALYANA SAMPADA
From Karnataka’s Heart to the World
Seven Districts. Seven Farmer-Owned Centres. One Shared Vision.
Good Food. Stronger Farmers. Greater Value.
Our Story- Rooted in Karnataka, Growing Beyond Boundaries
Kalyana Sampada is more than a food brand. It is a celebration of Kalyana Karnataka’s agricultural heritage, the dedication of its farming communities and the growing potential of farmer-led enterprises.
Inspired by the region’s rich agricultural traditions, Kalyana Sampada brings together locally grown produce, modern agro-processing facilities and Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) under one common regional identity.
The name Kalyana Sampada, meaning prosperous wealth, reflects our aspiration to transform the agricultural strengths of Kalyana Karnataka into opportunities for shared prosperity.
Our philosophy is simple: add value where the produce grows, strengthen farmer-owned enterprises and connect authentic regional products with wider markets.
An Initiative Built on Collaboration
Kalyana Sampada is part of an initiative envisioned by Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon’ble Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Government of India, supported through the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) in convergence with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).
Under this initiative, seven Farmers’ Training-cum-Common Facility Centres (FT-CFCs) for Agro-Processing have been established across seven districts of Kalyana Karnataka, on land allotted by the Government of Karnataka.
NABARD coordinates the initiative, while a dedicated Project Management Unit (PMU), hosted at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur, supports planning, coordination, monitoring and supervision.
These centres are owned and operated by Farmer Producer Organisations, placing farmers at the centre of value addition and enterprise development.

From Local Harvests to Everyday Goodness
Behind every Kalyana Sampada product lies a story of the land, its farmers and the collective effort involved in transforming agricultural produce into market-ready products.
From traditional millets and nutritious pulses to groundnut-based products, spices, soybean products and other regional specialities, our growing product range reflects the diversity of Kalyana Karnataka.
Through processing, quality management, appropriate packaging and branding, Kalyana Sampada seeks to create greater value from local harvests while making regional food products accessible to consumers and businesses.
Women at the Heart of Our Journey
SHE Sows. SHE Leads. SHE Builds.
Women play a vital role in Kalyana Karnataka’s agricultural economy. Kalyana Sampada seeks to strengthen their participation beyond farming by creating opportunities in collective ownership, processing, value addition, packaging and enterprise management.
Of the 5,767 farmer-members associated with the seven FPOs, 2,044 are women shareholders.
A particularly inspiring example is Baddepalli Women Farmers Producer Company Limited in Yadgir, an entirely women-led FPO with 727 women shareholders, focused on the groundnut value chain.
Their participation reflects our commitment to building more inclusive, farmer-owned rural enterprises.
Strengthened by Knowledge and Partnerships
The Kalyana Sampada initiative brings together farmer-owned organisations and institutional partners contributing expertise in agro-processing, technology, training, infrastructure, enterprise development and market access.
Key partners include CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru; ITC Limited; University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur; MABIF; SELCO Foundation; NABCONS; NABKISAN; and Dhaare Productions, each contributing in their respective areas.
These collaborations support the development of processing capabilities, product quality, packaging, marketing and sustainable business operations.
Our Vision
To build Kalyana Sampada into a distinctive regional brand that celebrates Karnataka’s agricultural heritage, strengthens farmer-owned enterprises and connects quality value-added products with markets across India and beyond.
We envision a future where farmers are not only producers of agricultural commodities but also active participants in the enterprises and value chains built around their harvests.
Our Commitment
We aspire to promote authentic regional products, encourage responsible value addition, support women’s participation, strengthen farmer collectives and create sustainable market opportunities.
Every product represents more than an everyday food choice. It reflects a region, a farming community and a shared ambition for greater prosperity.
